The partnership

| Composite |
An indicator that summarises two or more others by averaging them |
| Dimension |
One of the four themes the indicators are grouped under: whole-of-society engagement, country systems, transparency, and leaving no one behind |
| Comparison group |
The set a country or partner is measured against — a World Bank income group for countries, and DAC members, multilateral partners or United Nations entities for partners |

One of the five ranges a score falls into: very low, low, medium, high, very high |

Whether funding arrives when it was promised, and whether partners share their spending plans for the years ahead |
| Untied aid |
Development assistance that is not conditional on buying goods or services from the providing country |
| Information management system |
A national database recording development co-operation flows |
| Country results framework |
The set of objectives and indicators a government uses to track its own plan. Partners are asked whether they draw on it rather than creating their own |
